Junior Rowing – Champion Junior Section Our thriving junior section provides a fantastic introduction to gig rowing for young people. With expert coaching and a supportive environment, juniors develop skills, confidence, and teamwork while having fun on the water. Many progress to competitive racing, with opportunities to represent the club at local and national events.
Ladies’ Rowing Our ladies’ squad is open to rowers of all levels, from beginners to experienced racers. Whether you want to train for fitness, row socially, or compete in major championships, we offer structured training and a welcoming team spirit.
Men’s Rowing The men’s squad caters to all abilities, from those new to the sport to seasoned competitors. With regular training sessions, we prepare rowers for a mix of social, club, and championship-level racing, including prestigious events like the Isles of Scilly World Championships. Coaching Team: Our expert coaches bring a wealth of experience and knowledge, offering training for all skill levels, from juniors to seasoned rowers.
They are dedicated to developing the talent of each member while maintaining a focus on safety and teamwork.
Club Committee: The club is managed by a dedicated committee of volunteers who handle everything from event planning and club administration to community engagement and fundraising efforts. Their hard work ensures the club runs smoothly and continues to thrive.
Squad Captains: Each of our junior, ladies’, and men’s squads is led by a captain who is responsible for coordinating training, promoting team spirit, and ensuring members have the support they need. They play a key role in motivating and inspiring rowers at every level.
